PSX hosts National Institute of Management, Quetta (Participants of 33rd Mid-Career Management Course), for Issuer & Investor Awareness Session

Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) conducted a session with National Institute of Management, Quetta (Participants of 33rd Mid-Career Management Course) on issuer and investor awareness. The PSX team delivered a presentation detailing the options available at PSX for companies to raise capital. The focus was on how companies can benefit, with relatively less compliance to follow, by listing on Growth Enterprise Market (GEM) Board. The presentation included initiatives taken to facilitate the companies interested to raise debt by placing debt at the Exchange. The team also briefed on how one can benefit by investing in the companies listed on Exchange. The visiting team was given an insight on the workings of the capital market and its role in the nation’s economy. The PSX representatives guided the participants on how to select stock-brokers with the help of the broker’s list and contact details available on PSX website. They were informed about the various functions & operations of the Stock Exchange along with the different asset classes of investment available in Pakistan. The participants were also briefed about the efforts made by PSX to improve investor protection.

In the end, the visiting team from National Institute of Management, Quetta, took the opportunity and raised their queries regarding listing & investing on the Stock Exchange, Code of Corporate Governance and Regulatory requirements. The discussion ended after a detailed Q&A session. The participants appreciated PSX’s efforts and opined that the session provided them a better understanding of the listing process and the options available for business growth.
