Exploratory roundtable on ESG in the banking sector

An Exploratory Roundtable Virtual Session on Environment, Social and Governance in the banking sector was held led by Dr Shamshad Akhtar as chair of the session. The session had representation from ten leading banks of the country. Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance and ESG Task Force members including CFA Society, ACCA Pakistan and JCR-VIS were also present.

Bank representatives gave insights on the ESG initiatives which their respective organizations are currently undertaking and what more needs to be done to promote ESG reporting for the banking sector.
