Pakistan Stock Exchange convened a meeting of its Shariah Focus

Pakistan Stock Exchange convened a meeting of its Shariah Focus Group, chaired by CEO/MD Mr. Farrukh Sabzwari, to deliberate on strengthening Shariah-compliant offerings in the capital market. The session brought together Shariah scholars, Islamic finance practitioners, and capital market experts for constructive dialogue on initiatives including the proposed Shariah Trading Counter.​

​Formed in December 2023, the Shariah Focus Group provides an inclusive platform for consultation across diverse schools of thought and industry expertise. Discussions emphasized the importance of enhancing investor awareness and accessibility to Shariah-compliant products and trading mechanisms. Concluding the meeting, Mr. Sabzwari reaffirmed PSX’s commitment to advancing Shariah-compliant initiatives and fostering a robust, ethical investment ecosystem in Pakistan.
