PSX holds gong ceremony to announce building of manufacturing facility for Panadol portfolio by Haleon Pakistan Ltd. in presence of HE Jane Marriott, British HC to Pakistan

Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) held a gong ceremony to the announce the building of an in-house manufacturing facility for Panadol portfolio by Haleon Pakistan Limited, a world-leading Consumer Healthcare Company and a listed company on Pakistan Stock Exchange. The gong ceremony was attended by the British High Commissioner to Pakistan, Her Excellency Jane Marriott, as the Chief Guest at the occasion.​

The team from the British High Commission and Haleon Pakistan Limited were received at the Stock Exchange by the MD & CEO PSX, Mr. Farrukh H. Khan and Board member(s) PSX along with the senior management of the Exchange. The gong was struck by the Chief Guest, H.E. Jane Marriott, and the CEO of Haleon Pakistan Limited, Mr. Farhan M. Haroon, in the presence of MD & CEO PSX, Mr. Farrukh Khan, Board member(s) PSX, the team from the British High Commission and senior management of both Haleon Pakistan and PSX.​

​The event was an elaborate one with speeches from MD & CEO PSX, Mr. Farrukh Khan; CEO Haleon Pakistan Ltd., Mr. Farhan Haroon, and British High Commissioner to Pakistan, H.E. Jane Marriott. The MD & CEO PSX welcomed the distinguished guests and highlighted that while multinationals have enjoyed excellent profitability in Pakistan’s market historically, Haleon’s further investment here reinforces their commitment to Pakistan and its economy. On his part, the CEO Haleon Pakistan Ltd., highlighted the significance of building the in-house manufacturing facility for Panadol portfolio in Jamshoro, Sindh, through an investment of ~ USD 10 million bringing the latest technology and enhancing the production of Panadol to 8 billion tablets. The British High Commissioner to Pakistan welcomed the investment by UK based businesses in Pakistan and stated that as Pakistan improves its business environment, there will no doubt be more new investments from existing UK investors.

​The event concluded with media bites and Q&A whereby the personnel from the media asked various questions on the economy and UK-Pakistan trade, among other relevant topics, from the British High Commissioner to Pakistan, the MD & CEO PSX, and the CEO of Haleon Pakistan Ltd.
