PSX hosts Prime Minister at a grand ceremony to felicitate the Top 25 Companies Awards winners for the year 2022

A grand ceremony was held at the Mohatta Palace Museum in Karachi to felicitate the winners of the Top 25 Companies Awards for the year 2022. The impressive event was graced by the Honourable (Caretaker) Prime Minister of Pakistan, H.E. Mr. Anwaar ul Haq Kakar as Chief Guest; Respected (Caretaker) Federal Minister for Finance, Revenue & Economic Affairs, Dr. Shamshad Akhtar; Governor Sindh, Mr. Kamran Tessori; and Chief Minister Sindh, Justice (Retd) Maqbool Baqar. The distinguished guests also included Chairman SECP, Mr. Akif Saeed; senior government officials, and diplomats. Other esteemed guests included heads of the winning companies, business leaders, heads of FIs, and heads of brokerage firms, among others. The ceremony hosts included PSX Board Members, MD & CEO PSX Mr. Farrukh H. Khan, and PSX Heads of Departments as well as PSX staff who actively supported in the seamless convening of the event. The program was conducted by the Chief Marketing & Business Development Officer PSX, Ms. Raeda Latif.

The program started off with recitation from the Holy Quran which was followed by speeches from the esteemed guests including the Prime Minister, the Finance Minister, as well as the Chairman Fauji Group of Companies, Mr. Waqar Malik, and Chairman Engro Corporation, Mr. Hussain Dawood. The MD & CEO of Pakistan Stock Exchange, Mr. Farrukh Khan, also spoke to the audience where he elaborated on the significance of the Top 25 Companies Awards. The speeches were followed by awards distribution whereby the Prime Minister and the Finance Minister along with the MD & CEO PSX distributed the awards to the Top 25 Companies Awards recipients. Thereafter, an exchange of mementos took place where a memento from PSX was presented to the Prime Minister, the Finance Minister and the Chairman SECP.

After a period of four years, this grandiose event was held this year to recognise and award the Top 25 Companies for the year 2022. The PSX Top 25 Companies Awards ceremony presents a unique opportunity to various companies of our business, industrial and corporate landscape to project their image which is viewed widely by both local and foreign visitors apart from the media attention that this event attracts. The Top 25 Companies Awards are presented to those top performing 25 companies who have met certain pre-requisites and have excelled in several quantitative and qualitative criteria. These companies form the best of the best of Pakistan’s corporate world in terms of financial performance, operational excellence, governance and Sustainability/ ESG related criteria.
