PSX hosts visit from Punjab Civil Service Officers from PIMPD

Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) hosted a visit of Punjab Civil Service Officers from Punjab Institute of Management & Professional Development (PIMPD) as part of their Public Policy & Governance Course (PPG). This course leads to the promotion of officers from BS-18 to BS-19 and includes lectures, exercises, presentations and field/ study visits to various departments, district governments, and important organisations. The officers were welcomed and briefed at the Exchange by PSX MD & CEO, Mr. Farrukh H. Khan and PSX Chief Marketing & Business Development Officer, Ms. Raeda Latif.

Mr. Farrukh Khan briefed the participants of the session about the importance of the Stock Exchange in the economy and its role in capital formation. He highlighted the integral role of capital formation in the growth of the economy and how the Exchange facilitates the same. Ms. Raeda Latif delivered a presentation broadly highlighting the functions and working of the Stock Exchange from its regulatory, operational and technological aspects, amongst others. The officers were informed about the different asset classes available in the country and the benefits of investing in equities for the long term. The officers were also briefed upon the importance of listing for the growth & expansion as well as enhanced visibility of the listed company on national and international levels. Furthermore, they were guided upon how to use and navigate the PSX website and data portal to browse and procure important information. It was a highly productive and interactive session where the officers asked numerous questions which were addressed satisfactorily by the PSX representative. At the end of the session, the guests thanked the PSX representative(s) for holding such an informative and fruitful session. The PSX team, on its part, thanked the officers for paying a visit to PSX and making the briefing session a successful one.
